Imagine if someone took the insult sword fighting part from the first Monkey Island and then made it somewhat more complex - that's The Insult Simulator.
Insults are composed by choosing one of the nine parts of the sentence that are common to both actors at a given moment. When you happen to run out of text, you can afford a short break and start the next round with a new set of words, but that makes you very vulnerable it can very easily happen that the opponent fires a particularly poisonous insult out of his mouth. By focusing on one topic within the same match, combos are connected, which further worsens the opponent's nervous disorder.
Since the vocabulary is limited, it quickly becomes repetitive but for such a nice price it is more than okay. Some phrases are even usable in real-life, trust me, but you didn't hear it from me.
Now with more crusade. Fight some heathens or convert to them, and watch your realm erupt into civil war. But before that, go kill your brother in a duel so you can take his land. It's legal and PAGAN_GOD_NAME approved!
Took some of the best features from CK2 DLCs and made a solid base game. Though there is a good amount of content I miss from CK2 it's still a good time. They got a good mix of strategy and roleplay, that will probably get even better as new updates and DLC come out.
Tim Curry was wrong. Space is not safe from capitalism, but now you can make it so, comrade. Play as a space workers paradise, destroy the capitalist dogs, and do your duty to the state, comrade. Now with 40% less oppression.
This is, by far, my favorite expansion to Stellaris. It diversifies interaction with other stellar powers so substantially that diplomacy feels like an entirely different playstyle.
Humanoids is, similarly to Plantoids, a purely cosmetic DLC. It adds portraits of humanoids perhaps this time drawing inspiration more from the fantasy trope rather than the sci-fi one. You can find portraits resembling dwarves, cyclops or orks.
This minor DLC certainly adds a few interesting things in the main game but it surely isn't worth 15$. Wait to buy it during a good sale and it will be a good addition for players who like the main game.
This game has been completely overhauled with 2.0 Patch (recently released at the time of writing this mini-review).
Imperator:Rome was a bit lacklustre at release but this massive latest patch has finally brought to life what this Paradox Game was meant to be since release day.
An absolute must have with update 2.0. A polished title, full of gameplay and features to learn and enjoy. There is so much to comment about how radically the new patch changes the game that there would be no end to it.
Bought the game after playing the excellent Hades. The two games are quite similar, with only some differences (apart from the story, graphics and lore). In this game, we can use two different weapons from three classes (melee, ranged and shield) instead of one. The permanent upgrades feel a little irrelevant compared with Hades. Finally, the story is a little more convoluted, requiring that the player search and find the clues to piece what happened in the world.
From the creators of Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break, meaning that you can expect innovative gameplay and a tight storyline. The game does not disappoint and provides a unique experience that deserves your free time.
