This DLC is only for those that want extra challenge and more randomness to their city. With this DLC you get small chance the city you build with hard work and sweat gets destroyed by random disaster. Also there is some disaster response stuff, so technically its not just city getting destroyed.
If you played ages ago Commando's or Desperado series, this game is for you! This game is like "commandos but with ninjas and samurais." Gameplay is lots of fun, and even if some maps are bit hard, they're never unfair. Also game run well on bit older computer, but still looked pretty.
With this DLC you get to micro manage your industrial zones and logistics, if you dont like to micro manage stuff dont get this, but if you want to go deeper with how much you can micro manage how your industrial zones work get this dlc.
It is a good strategy game on managing a society for survival. The atmosphere maybe a bit dark with choices on ethics / reality / risk, etc. Personally I think it is a good thing for anyone to rethink on the current world that all we our thinking is so ideal, and someone manipulated it like the group of Sweden Greta.
This DLC adds a lot of value for interacting with other empires, adding more options to the Galactic Community that was in the free update, and more federation options. Seeing federations form and how they grow and fall really adds to the replay value for me.
Crusader Kings 3 is a more modern and user-friendly version of its predecessor, albeit with missing features. However, like it's predecessor, this game will be worked on and updated for years with free updates and DLC's. The game currently offers enough replayability to buy at full price even in its current state. The Royal Edition is a great deal for me since I would end up getting the upcoming DLC's anyway.
There are a lot of Tropico games (currently 6) and 5 is probably one of the better ones and isn't AS DLC spammy as say 3 was. So 5 is in my opinion the best balance between good DLC and good game. Perfect no. At times frustrating? Yes. But worth it on sale if you like the series or the concept!
Alongside this expansion, a free update has brought Imperator Rome to a really great form. But, what's this DLC contribution to this "rebirth"?
First of all, regarding its title, it brings new content for the Diadochi, the generals that ruled the countries that emerged from Alexander's Empire after his death: Macedonia, Thrace, Egypt, the Seleucid and the Antigonid Empires.
It also introduces a new feature: the Wonder designer, that will allow you to build your own monumental Pyramid, Lighthouse, Partenon, etc. At a (great) cost, of course, but it'll improve your country's prestige and influence. This is a feature that, when it was announced, I didn't find it so appealling but once seen in the game I'm really appreciating it.
It also brings additional religion-related content for the Greek wolrd, as well as new music.
In conclusion, though I think it's an optional DLC for Imperator (none of its features are "required" to play), I think it's a very recommendable one.
With the 2.0 update this game is really entertaining. With a living world now instead of the old mana system. The internal politics is engaging and the mission trees are a great guidance.
