LOVE!

Merchants of Kaiden was way too involved for me. This game is great, though! Like a mature version of Tradewinds. Great trading sim!

GODUS
 –

Really fun and calming

This game is really calming and fun to play. It's just extremely relaxing to just take care of the people and sculpt the land. It's an extremely low stress game, though I would say this is more of a design and small puzzle game with a bit of god powers thrown in.

Game Dev Tycoon
 –

Really Enjoyable

This is a well balanced and fun tycoon.
Live out your Game Dev dreams, make that game you never got, and create your own titles and franchises and even engines and consoles.

Charming visuals
Simple to pick up
Only downside is perhaps the main game could continue longer until it gets into Sandbox mode

Lifeless Planet Premier Edition
 –

Excellent game with a few issues

I found this game quite engaging and interesting. The jumping puzzles, for the most part, weren't too difficult. I did run into the space bar jump death once, but restarting the game fixed that. Otherwise I did have issue with the dark areas (and the lava section, which was dark with black everywhere) making it hard to figure out where to go and what to do. But beyond those small issues, it was well worth the investment.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
 –

It´s not worth...

It looked really good and the set-back to the fifties seemed great. but it´s really buggy and the gameplay is way to linear. i played about half an hour, then deinstalled it.

Endless Legend Emperor Pack

Different..

It is a mixture of something like endless space and civ beyond earth but definitely beats civ be on any way in my opinion.

The Sims 3
 –

Good game, bit buggy

I love the Sims 3. As an intro to the series, it's not bad. The instructions seem a bit clearer than they were in either the original Sims or the Sims 2. However, I've had to back up, uninstall, and reinstall on at least two separate occasions when my computer decided that the Sims 3 game files no longer existed (despite them still being in the correct location, completely intact.) That was incredibly annoying.

However, as far as gameplay goes, the story-creation is nearly unrivalled. I've played so many crazy games of the Sims, (and watched crazier), that Sims must be terrified whenever I start playing them. How many odd family relationships can I create? Many. There was once a Sim who had an aunt - who was also her sister. Creeepy.

Four of five for lag and bugs, but hilarity in storytelling.

Might & Magic X - Legacy Deluxe Edition
 –

A linear build tester.

Okay so the way this game works is your RPG party chops its way through a set number of fights until it gets to a **BOSS FIGHT** and then you get to find out if you've built your party correctly to beat the boss! But if you can't, then you can't, because you've fought all the fights you're gonna fight and gotten all the gold you're going to get and there's no going back to, idk, level another time to take another shot like you would in most RPGs, so you get to rebuild your group from the very beginning. Fun! ^_^

The Escapists
 –

One of the few games this new year that I have enjoyed.

The Escapists is one of the few games this new year that I have enjoyed. I have played it profusely, escaping 2 out of the 9 prisons (including the extra ones) and I love the way it works. You can name prisoners, guards etc, you get to pick YOUR way out, and I love the things the guards say at rollcall. It makes me lol.

But, I would add a prison editor so that people can create and publish their own prisons. It would be hard to implement, sure, but it would make a valued and great addition to the game.

Dungeon of the Endless - Pixel Pack
 –

Great RogueLike TD

Having a lot of fun, so far invested a couple hours on it. The game incorporates the RogueLike elements with Tower Defense, excelling in both. Making you want more after every death.

Gabriel Knight - Sins of Father - 20th Anniversary Edition
 –

All time favorite Point and Click Adventure!

I played the original 3 gk games and I have to say this anniversary edition was very well done. If you don't like PAC adventure games this game may sway your opinion. Amazing art and awesome story writing. I'd love to see "The Beast Within" done next.
