AGON - The Lost Sword of Toledo

Continuation of the Mysterious Codex

Classic adventure with diabolical puzzles. Same feel as the Mysterious Codex.

Strange little game here

This is a strange game with clunky controls. I don't trust that robotic voice. Puzzles are different. Music is repetitive. Visuals are ok, but not great. I'm having some bugs with the mouse wanting to double click when I single click, but it's not game breaking...yet.
Being a fan of adventure puzzle games, I'm curious to see where this goes and what happened to Subject13.

AGON - The Mysterious Codex (Trilogy)
 –

Classic MInd Boggling Adventure!

I love to hate this game. It has lots of mind boggling, unfair puzzles. Voice acting is decent. Music is nice. Spent many long nights trying to figure out some of the puzzles; even had to resort to a walkthrough a few times. Visuals are a little dated, but not terrible. Would play through it again.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
 –

It's Skyrim!

While I don't see why this game was such a big deal when it first came out, it is pretty fun. Nice assortment of races to choose from. You can even be a cat! YAY! Lots of different side quests to do. An enormous open world to explore. You can craft and upgrade armor and weapons. Visuals are nice. Music is really nice. Voice acting is good. Combat mechanic is good. Runs decent on my win 7 Mac Pro.
Only con would be, it's hard getting mods to work without breaking achievements. and watch out when it updates!

Cat Quest II
 –

An Ameowzing Sequel

More adorable graphics, sounds, etc. Pretty cool to also have the dogs and it's easy to switch between them. More cat puns, some dog puns. The game mechanic is improved, where now weapons/staves/armor are categorized. Makes it much easier to search the inventory. The map is slightly different, but some of the places from the first game are still there. Much fun is to be had with this game!

A New Beginning - Final Cut
 –

Classic Point & Click

Old school point and click adventure. Not obvious what needs to be done next. No hand holding. Interesting story so far.

Not a Great Game

Eh, not a very good game. Visuals are dated, audio seems random. Has some weird stuff in it. Those shadows are spooky! Played about an hour, but it never got interesting, just weird. Not my cup of tea; probably will shelf this one.

Cat Quest
 –

Ameowzing Game!

Graphics are cute, soundtrack is cute, and the kitties are adorable! Gameplay is basic rpg, but with real time combat. Various enemies to attack. Full of cat puns. Lots of quests to do, though a little repitive. Various armors/weapons to get.

Has native gamepad support - even DS4! No need for converters to get the ds4 working, it works right out of the box. However, there can be issues when connected wirelessly; I just use a wired connection and haven't had any issues.

Overall, an excellent game! A cat the slays dragons, how cool is that?! Meow! Happy catventuring!

Disney Cars Classics

Nice Collection!

Cars: This one is pretty fun, has an open world to run around in, race events, side quests, all kinds of good stuff! You play as Lightning McQueen, but there are unlockable skins for him. Gameplay is pretty easy, works well with my Logitech Dual Action controller.
Mater-National: This one is much like the first Cars game, a few more custimations, open world, different types of events. Mater is a goof. lol Controls don't work as well in this one. Still, pretty fun.
Radiator Springs Adventures: This one is geared towards a younger audience, quite simple gameplay. I found it boring.

Disney Flight and Racing

Another Great Collection!

Planes: This game is fun, you get to play as most of the main characters from the Planes movie. Story mode is pretty neat, other modes available. My biggest complaint is the on screen prompts are generic buttons, only thing that differentiates them is color. So it's hard to tell what controls what. Game settings are just device choice, ie gamepad or keyboard; no mapping available. Using my gamepad I was able to figure out the controls, but for keyboard, it's almost impossible. Once controls are figured out, it's a great game.
Cars 2: My favorite of the bunch! Lots of different characters to play as. Gameplay is pretty much setup as a new recruit to the secret service. Race events, power ups, stunts, lots of cool stuff in this game! One game breaking bug though. After about 5 missions, the game crashes. Usually it saves the last event played, but it has crashed every time I play it more than 5 missions at a time. Still, its a fun game.
Mater's Tall Tales: This one is fun, but is geared toward a younger audience. Based off the Maters Tall Tales shorts, the gamer gets to play all Mater's tales. Character is a generic fully customizable car, with unlockables for more customization.

WRC 4 FIA World Rally Championship
 –

Quite Challenging

Graphics are great, menu music is epic, and the co-driver is entertaining. Cars handle pretty good, though sometimes a little arcadish. Rally cars shouldn't be able to climb exceedingly steep rocks.
2 major issues though; 1) the key mapping is difficult as the button numbers in-game don't match the physical buttons on my Logitech Dual Action gamepad. Still works, but confusing when the game prompts for button 2, when it's actually button 4. Issue 2) there is no quit/exit button. I have to minimize the game, close it by right clicking the task bar (which then prompts the "are you sure you want to quit" menu) then maximize to confirm exit. What a pain.

Overall, a great game though. :)

Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 Gold Edition
 –

Fun and Relaxing

This game is neat, lots of different vehicles to work on (dlc to add more!). When replacing parts, you have to remove bolts, other parts that could be blocking the one needing replacing, and so on. The only things missing are wires and hoses, but I think that would be too realistic and take the fun out of playing. The garage is customizable. Can take quite a bit of time to upgrade - I still haven't unocked the junkyard and I have 16+hrs on it! Graphics are amazing! Soundtrack is ok.
One minor glitch is the opening movie doesn't play, there's audio but no video. Otherwise the game runs fine.

I am Bread
 –

This Game Is HARD!

But extremely fun and challenging! The paradies and puns in it are hilarious!
Controls are hard, even with a gamepad. Graphics are good. Music is cute.
Has one minor bug, it doesn't prevent the screensaver from running. So while I'm climing a wall, the game goes away and my screensaver kicks on. I have to wiggle the mouse to get it back. Meanwhile, my bread has let go of said wall. Having to disable the screensaver before launching the game is annoying.
Otherwise this is an awesome game! :)

The Book of Unwritten Tales Collection
 –

Awesome!

Ony played the first one in the collection, but so far it's great. The puns towards other fantasies are hilarious! Artwork is good, the soundtrack is amazing. Performance is good, runs fine on both my macbook pro (via wine wrapper) running 10.10.5 and my mac pro (via macos) running 10.12.5.

The Purring Quest
 –

AMAZING!!!

Finally, a cat based game where *you* play the cat! This is so adorable, the other kitties you come across are based on real cats (ie Nala, Nora, etc). The enemies are natural cat enemies (ie dogs). The graphics are well drawn. The soundtrack is great! The controls are sometimes difficult; makes boss fights very hard. Otherwise a very fun game!
By far, my favoritest platformer. Cats rule!

Euro Truck Simulator 2
 –

Great Attention to Detail

This game is awesome, the attention to detail is most impressive. Physics appear pretty close to the real thing (though I've never driven a real semi). Some routes even have construction simulated! Graphics are good even at low settings. Engine/horn sounds vary between the different trucks. AI traffic is spontaneous enough to simulate real drivers. Pretty fun!
The only cons so far is the framerate gets all weird when it's been running a while; which could be caused by it not always preventing the screensaver from running. If tabbed out, the game gets really wonky. Don't tab out!

Morningstar: Descent to Deadrock
 –

Fun Point and Click

This game was fun! The banter between the characters was comical, though sometimes lacked the right emotion. Puzzles were mildly challenging. Graphics and soundtrack were good. Story had a small hole, didn't quite tied up all the loose ends.
My only gripe is it's way too short! Still, it's a great game to pass the time. :)

Life of Pixel

Awesome!!

Cute story, love the trivia on each of the systems. Early levels are challenging. (watch out for those spikes!) Soundtrack is ok, graphics are apropos to the system being played. Good game!

Cute game, but a little repetitive. Controls don't always respond well. Graphics are good, soundtrack is ok.

Mount & Blade: Warband
 –

Fun!

This is a fun game. Sometimes stutters, but otherwise runs ok.
Love the character customization. Combat (especially mounted combat) has a high learning curve for those who are new to this type of game. Graphics are nice.
