This is an updated version of an old Sierra game, with hi-res graphics and a point-and-click interface replacing the original command-line system. It's not a bad game, but it's too short. When you think you're starting to do interesting things, it ends. Buy for collection.
This is a game of the kind "I can't stop playing, I need to see more". You are immersed in the story at the very moment it starts. Why? Well, it's its atmosphere, the slow and steady cadence of events taking place, the feeling of discovery as you progress. I can say it contains some of the most beautiful moments I have experienced in a game. Problem: you will need a very fast machine to run its graphics smoothly in "fantastic mode". Even if you don't have such, playing it is a real pleasure. Completely worthy.
Only 5 or 6 places to explore make it a rather short game. The description talks about puzzles of increasing difficulty and that is true. Some puzzles are driven by hazard, that is they will change each time you play them. Sometimes you need to act on inventory items in an unconventional way. But all in all it is a real Adventure game.
Fascinating Game with deep sensual moments - be good and help or be bad and let die... Surviving is the goal - although its sad to see others die through war :-(
Sorry, but although the idea of surviving alone on an unknown island is great, the game is really not ready to be played - movements, graphics and the impossibility to save and start after dying at the save point just causes disappointment!
Overall a fun and entertaining game. Sometimes things get a bit unrealistic likes planes blowing up when they're not near each other, or what would have been near misses.
Besides that though its fun to play and things get hectic sometimes. It can be fun or aggravating to dig yourself out depending.
This is basically a puzzle-platformer with a bit of action (for making round the gameplay). What makes it so good are its luxurious graphics (although overloaded), and accurate physics emulation. You control three characters that you can switch at any time, each with their own abilities that you can improve over the time picking up "world energy". This leads to the use of different approaches to resolve the puzzles, and there are a bunch of them. There are also "big monsters" to defeat, mostly there for the looks. But what makes this game unique are its highly detailed environments, animations, soundtrack, and cut-scenes. Add this to a robust gameplay, shake the mix, and "pop!" you obtain a game that you can't lose. And they are announcing "Trine 3", with fully 3D interactive environments...
I purchased this game with high hopes. It installed just find and loaded. I went through the tutorials fine and everythign was good. But after that when i attemped to start hitting the road to start my carear there wasn't any roads to be seen. the entire "ground" was black. nothing distinquishable. i have lowered my settings and that didn't help. i looked online for other people, found them with the exact same problems, but none of the discussions presented any fixes. I have writted the support for the company that developed the game but still no response which was exactly everyone else had written. this games looks like it would be great. the limited time with the tutorial was with great attention to detail, but when it can to playability it flopped. my suggestion is to pass this one up.
This second expansion that closes the Unity of command trilogy is as good as the two others iterations. You will find some battles more challenging, sometimes with few or no reinforcements from the high command that you can buy.
New specialized battalions add both flavour and toughness to units, like ISU-122 for the soviets or Tigers for the germans. This adding hours of pleasure to a game that was already surprisingly good despite looking simple at first sight.
I loved to play the classic 'Theme Hospital' and since this game seemed to be quite similar I gave it a try. Apart from the really unrealistic game setting does it not include as much features as I expected which in the end upset me a little.
I played a lot of Diablo 2 when I was a kid and when I found this game it kind of in a way get me back to that feeling of a good action rpg . I recommend it.
It's morbid, dark, and cynical. Nearly anything you do will be downplayed and rendered meaningless, again and again and again. Everyone is despicable. You murder kids, while feigning ignornace. Whether that's a pro or a con is up to you, but it's not really my thing.
This game has a slow start, but gets better with each chapter. It becomes interesting once you start chasing your demons and really gets going once you enter the final chapter. Too bad the end comes out of nowhere and just pulls the plug.
The puzzles and problem solving is for the most part straightforward, if you're a bit flexible in how you associate things. The only nonsensical problem - to me - was the colorblind pizza thing. The clue here is to forget the whole colorblindness nonsense and see it as a color matching puzzle.
