Europa Universalis IV: Leviathan
 –

One of the best DLC without the bugs

One of the best DLC in terms of gameplay impact. Monuments really help with the immersion and variability. The bugs, which caused an awful launch are no gone. Highly recommended expansion.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Premium Edition
 –

Peak X4 game in a unique Sci-Fi setting

This game is so much better than Age of Wonders 4 and it is more complex, more complete and has more unique factions than even Age of Wonders 3. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Sequel to CK2: DLC Included

CK2 had a plethora of content by the end of its cycle. CK3 improves upon that template as is adding in content in a similar fashion. While by no means complete, CK3 promises a more fluid and better looking successor game with the same level of content (once DLC is factored in). Definitely a game to look out for!

Europa Universalis IV: Dharma
 –

Dharma

This DLC is well worth the price if you enjoy playing outside of Europe as it does much to enhance SE Asia gameplay through new religious mechanics.

Pirate Port

Tired of playing as a pirate in Eu4? Well then play as Pirate in Space with this DLC. Criminal Origin is the perfect combination of flavor and unique mechanics. Please Note that none of your neighbors in space will like you though.

Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance
 –

Spy Game

Espionage within HOI4. It helps add more granularity to the information system, but is not wholly without its flaws. By no means essential to your typical gameplay, it is a worthy edition.

Surviving Mars: In-Dome Buildings Pack
 –

I Just Like Domes

The samey utilitarian designs of the initial domes are alright. This DLC just adds some nice variation that helps make each habitat unique.

Stellaris: Nemesis
 –

Shooty shoot

I think I would enjoy this more if I liked aggressive playstyle more - but I do use it when I'm getting sick of a game to just end it quick

Stellaris: MegaCorp

Another playstyle

The utility I receive is limited because I don't tend to play megacorps - Not because it doesn't look fun, but because I'm always lured by something else

Stellaris: Synthetic Dawn Story Pack
 –

Great to roleplay the Borg

If you like sci fi shows you might want to RP the replicators or the Borg, this accommodates that RP - outside of that I don't tend to play robots tho

Stellaris: Utopia

Build tall

I like megastructures - really this feels seamless with the base game, but that might be because I've had it for so long

Stellaris: Plantoids Species Pack
 –

You a plant

Nothing good or bad about it really, its just a bunch of portraits - I wish it did stuff like the lithoids addon and whatnot, but it came out before they thought of that and they havent revisited it

Stellaris: Lithoids Species Pack
 –

You a rock

Its more than just a bunch of portraits, but also fairly minor - worth getting if you want to play as a rock, worth skipping if you don't care

Stellaris: Federations

A worthwhile expansion

I don't often play with other civs, so I don't get much utility out of this, but I can see if adds a decent layer of mechanics if you don't play isolationist like me. I can't speak to how well its implemented th

Stellaris: Necroids Species Pack
 –

You dead/undead

Feels a little off kilter to a sci fi setting really - I often justify it by pretending I'm like a fungus that eats everything, but then you have that race already

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Platinum Edition
 –

4X city builder

The 6th iteration of Civilzation is now a turn based strategy game slash city builder. While in the previous games you built a city on a single tile, in Civ 6 you build the city around the first tile. First the districts, then buildings, wonders and whatnot within the appropriate districts. This means you can't just build everything willy-nilly, you have to make some tough decisions, but with a bit of experience it allows you to build some ridiculously powerful setups. Especially with the governors and policy cards (and secret societies, and heroes, and...).

There are some other changes, like the splitting of the tech tree into technology and civics, or now you can combine the same combat units to make them stronger, provided you have the technology, but none as big as the district system.

The rest is similar to the previous games: many different civs, each with multiple avenues to victory, and the expansions add a little extra on top of that (apocalypse mode with overtuned disasters, secret societies, corporations, etc). The new art direction fits perfectly, and each civ having their own theme that changes throughout the eras is a nice touch.

All in all it's a worthy addition to the series, a great game that allows for hundreds of hours of entertainment.
