Probably the best Space Role Playing game there is. A MASSIVE universe populated by players from all over the world, ALL playing on the same server are what sets this game apart from others. If you are looking to immerse yourself in an ever changing online Universe, where you are 1 pilot, out of tens of thousands, just fighting to survive you start out in a tiny frigate, and from there anything is possible. Bought this for my 9 year old, can highly recommend it, he absolutely loves it. The only problem is it's rather short and therefore overpriced in my opinion. He's now replaying it and making some different decisions which gives the game a bit more longevity. Here's hoping the DLC that will be coming out for it will be a lot cheaper...
QUICK UPDATE, didn't realise this contains the season Pass for all 5 episodes so another star has to be added. Apparently there is a patch you need to download from the Telltale site as the DLC is not showing up properly on the original download.
Great sequel to a great game. If you liked the original, this one is even better. It has more story, much more refined gameplay with better combat options. It feels like a much more fleshed out game than a joke as the original was intended to be. I don't find this one humorous, but it is well worth playing and is very fun. There's still lots to collect and the game is longer than the original was.
I've played Tropico since the early days. This version is a great expansion upon the original theme and a fun game to play. Although I've played more in depth games, Tropico is in the middle between something simplistic and something overly complex. I like the balance and the challenges it poses. I've even gotten my 11-year-old into it ... and he is a great now an expert ruler of a Banana Republic!
After playing this game foar a little longer I realized that it was not quite as good as I thought it was at first. It is still a great game that is enjoyable to play but I found that some of the gameplay itself was lacking. I like to have more ease of control and the interface lacked that for me. I also like to have more flexibility than the game allowed.
All that said, it is still fun to play and I would still recommend it. I will be handing it down to my middle school son, however.
This is a fun game. Sometimes stutters, but otherwise runs ok. Love the character customization. Combat (especially mounted combat) has a high learning curve for those who are new to this type of game. Graphics are nice.
This was fun to play, and had a good story. The music, voices, graphics & puzzles, all were very good. Some puzzles were harder than others, but all were workable. Only wish Nancy could repeat the instructions. But you really need to play it in the dark. Some of the screens were extremely hard to see in normal light. Played at night without lights, it's fine. We think this is one of the better Nancy Drew games, but we really haven't played that many. Fun to play!
Aside from the items raised by the first reviwer to give it 1 star, I feel that once you get into it, its livable with, though does severely hamper the game. My argument is that there is little logic on what to build where in association with anything else. I forced my way through to around the 7th island, but by the 4th, had experienced numerous dropouts, switch offs and other unexplained closedowns. I decided to save on a very regular basis. I was also led to believe somehow, that if you restarted a level, that the island would change - some are just nigh impossible to build on and get anywhere. I also found that I had to put it on fast, despite having loads of resources at times, in order to get buildings and resources completed. For me, as much as I love this type of game, it just annoyed the crap out of me. Now abandoned and awaiting some severe debugging - no indications of what causes dropouts - they just seem to happen randomly.
Bought the game and downloaded it but it crashes before it will even open.. Waste of time and money but luckily it was cheap but you get what you pay for..
