Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War II - Grand Master Collection
 –

A great Warhammer experience

While the Warhammer tabletop game is by necessity turn based, Dawn of War 2 has taken the lore and rules of the game and successfully translated it into a fun RTS experience. The campaign has a well written story, and the progress of units from mission to mission makes careful strategy and tactics essential. A great game.

Forbidden Secrets: Alien Town Collector's Edition
 –

[This Alawar game has totally conquered me. Starting from the story, which is as engaging as a good book and deserves a special mention (everything is based on acinesia, you find out what it is ...). But it's the game's set to be absolutely appreciated. Superb kinematic sequences, high-pitched music, great value images ... All of this is a scenes feature with hidden objects and high quality mini-games. "Forbidden Secrets Alien Town" is 2014, but surprisingly anticipates what today seems "new" to other developers. Scenes with multiple hidden objects and rich in combinations are, in my opinion, the best for fans of this genre. At every step you "breathe" the passion and professionalism of all those who have accomplished it. The map is absolutely perfect, and there is also the "strategic guide". Bonus chapter "illuminating". The most fun scene? The cat that runs the dog (even the developers have fun!) One flaw: on iMac OS X the game slowly slows down, and you have to go out and then resume from where you were left. It's only for this reason that I rated it with 4 stars. However, I highly recommend it!]

Beware of saved games

I love this game; the artwork, music, and puzzles are unique and great. The help facility is a gas. But....games are saved into a volatile cache area of a browser, so if you run cleanup maintenance on your browser you will lose all saved games. I use Safari. I periodically run a utility that cleans house on my Mac, so I've gotten far into the game only to lose saved games. Back to the beginning. There are supposed workarounds, but I see no evidence of that - at least on my Mac. I'm waiting for an update before I can finish the game.

House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets Collector's Edition

Segreti belli, senza italiano

[A good production signed by Alawar and Five-Bn, although partly due to the time since its first release. Even if the Italian language is missing, it is still playable using one of the languages that are more "related" (I used Spanish). The story is engaging and long-lasting, hidden-style scenes are "old-fashioned" but passable, mini-games are complicated at the right spot, movies are well done, as well as music and images. The bonus chapter is simple but in any case appreciable, while the almost total absence of goals to reach makes the game "relaxing" (you have to pick "only" 35 changeable objects ...). In two ways, I had to resort to strategic guidance, while "weighing" a bit 'the fact that the map (very useful) is "bound" to the diary. Overall, I recommend this game. Of course, for us Italians it is worth buying if it is at a discounted price.]

Crusader Kings II: Conclave
 –

Yet another CK2 expansion

With this DLC, your council gets cocky! They can restrain you from many actions, force reforms or, in the case you can act when they're against, respond in consequence.
Buy & sell favors, keep the balance between hiring the best "technocrats" or raising powerful vassals to counselors for them to like you best.

Quite a gameofthronish thing, this. If can live without it, wait for it to be on sale

Pillars of Eternity: The White March - Part I

Part I

To keep it simple, if you liked Pillars of Eternity and are interested in the expansion you won't be disappointed. It adds a lot of nice features to an already great game.

Mount & Blade: Warband

Nice multiplayer experience!

Played it with some friends only. In 32 players scenarios it gets really nice. Its a shame that it´s graphics are so outdated.

Mount & Blade: Warband - Napoleonic Wars
 –

And now we have firearms!

As I stated early in the base game review, its really fun to play with friends online. The addition of several elements, firearms among them, makes this title a fine addition to any multiplayer games fan.

Darksiders Franchise Pack
 –

Hack and Slash for the masses!

After playing several DMC titles, I thought that the genre would self destroy within a few years. Gladly this game came out to prove me wrong. Carefully detailed aesthetics, great combat experience and superb overall value makes Darksiders a fine choice.

Action and narrative at it´s finest

Impressive story and effective game mechanics. It´s bleak story really get to the bottom of some of the most controversial topic of the human experience.

TransOcean - The Shipping Company
 –

No support whatsoever

Game started crashing for no good reason on macOS Sierra. Support never provided a solution. Steam couldn´t care less about it. Botah astragon and steam suck really really bad! Don´t buy it. It will stop working for you too, even if requirements are met!!!

Frankenstein: Master of Death
 –

Good Hidden Object Game

This is a good hidden object game with an interesting variety of mini-games, However the hidden object scenes are simply done and not as difficult as hidden object scenes in other games of this genre.

Overall this is an enjoyable hidden object game.

Stellaris: Utopia
 –

Worth it but...

It doesn't add a hell of a lot to make it worth a $20 price tag. That's, what, half the cost of the entire base game? Well, I got it on sale for $16 and using a $5 store credit it was only $11. It was worth it at that, for sure.

Anyway, 4-star $20 DLC for a 5-star $40 game. If the math works for you then I guess it's worth it. If not, wait for a sale. Paradox has frequent sales.
