Crusader Kings III: Expansion Pass
 –

Decent value

The pass contains the following packs: Royal Court, Northern Lords, and Fate of Iberia. None of them are particularly essential in themselves, unless you're specifically interested in additions they offer. Royal Court makes your feudal court more involved and interesting. Northern Lords lets you play as various viking rulers. Fate of Iberia improves and expands the Iberian peninsula and all the various local faction variants therein. Not a bad pack and relatively decently priced compared to buying the packs individually, especially on sale.

Hammerting
 –

Strike the dirt

Fun and ambitious but ultimately falls short of being a worthy mountainhomesim. Some fun ideas but sadly most of them are not fully realised.

Bounty Train
 –

Rails across America

A decent little train/trading game. Several underdeveloped systems and missing quality-of-life features are an issue, though.

The Long Journey Home
 –

Good luck, astronauts

Some very interesting concepts and a genuinely alien-feeling universe in many places. Hampered by some very clunky controls and a bit too much trial-and-error.

Surviving Mars: Season Pass
 –

Decent value

A worthwhile bundle with some of the more interesting DLC + a bit of fluff. Green Planet in particular is a major plus.

Space Crew: Legendary Edition
 –

Bomber Crew 2.0 in SPAAACE

Different setting, same frantic crew management. Some improvements here and there, a bit of streamlining and more mission variety. A good sequel overall.

Bomber Crew
 –

Fast, frantic, fun

A surprisingly complex and difficult management game. Some minor annoyances aside, there's plenty to get stuck into here.

Planet Zoo
 –

Fine even without the DLC

The best zoo management game out there right now. Don't be daunted by the million dlc packs, none of them are particularly essential. There's plenty to dig into with just the base game.

Gloomhaven
 –

Prepare to Lose

A significantly cheaper and more convenient way of playing one of the most difficult and complicated boardgames around. The load times are a bit lengthy but still far less than setup time for the tabletop version.

Crusader Kings III: Northern Lords
 –

Vikings on Crusade

Almost essential if you're interested in playing with one of the Norse factions, at most an interesting bit of fluff if you're not.

Red Dead Redemption 2
 –

The best Wild West sim on PC

Decent story, a large and interesting world to explore and a great deal to do. Some of the usual Rockstar PC game performance issues and quirks are the only real problem. Otherwise, quite excellent.

APICO
 –

The queen of beekeeping sims

Cutest little beekeeping adventure with a surprising amount of depth and complexity. Now with added butterflies and even more flower types. A nice, relaxing time with good tunes and swarms of bee puns. Highly recommended.
