Vikings on Crusade
Almost essential if you're interested in playing with one of the Norse factions, at most an interesting bit of fluff if you're not.

Almost essential if you're interested in playing with one of the Norse factions, at most an interesting bit of fluff if you're not.
Adds more content and flavor but is not essential. It also covers my favorite region of the game, as I find Scandinavia in this era very interesting. I am biased because I am from there of course, being a Swedish citizen that is half Icelandic and half Swedish.
Get this DLC if you love the game, and want more content and flavor and want to support the developers. But if you are tight on money and you find it expensive, you can avoid it if you like.
My main complaint with CK3 has been it's inability to make each region of the game map feel unique. Northern Lords seems like a good step in the right direction helping to make Scandinavia feel a little more alive.
