Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty
 –

Great entry in the classic Commandos series!

Beyond the Call of Duty feels like more of an expansion to the first game than a full sequel, but it's still another terrific installment in this classic Stealth RTS series. If you enjoy modern games in the genre like Shadow Tactics, check out this classic and the entire Commandos series.

Commandos 2: Men of Courage
 –

Awesome sequel to Commandos!

The Commandos games were critical landmarks in defining the Stealth RTS genre, and there is a good case to be made that Men of Courage is the best of the series. If you enjoy modern games like Shadow Tactics that were clearly heavily inspired by the systems and presentations from Commando, you owe it to yourself to check out this classic.

Hearts of Iron IV: Allied Speeches Pack
 –

Famous speeches for more historical flavor in HOI IV

This is officially another "music" pack for HOI IV, and the famous speeches from Churchill, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, etc. are indeed accompanied by an appropriate swelling soundtrack. Speeches activate at appropriate times in the game depending on event triggers (for example, development of the atom bomb) and add a lot of immersion for me, especially the first time you hear them. I docked one star because this flavor DLC isn't critical and Paradox doesn't seem interested in an Axis speeches pack for historical realism and balance; but Allied Speeches is still recommended!

Ghostly Matter
 –

Fun exploration platformer with classic NES aesthetics

To me, Ghostly Matter feels like a mix of classic NES Castlevania and Ghosts and Goblins, but with more of an emphasis on exploration than tough action platforming. It could be a little more polished around the edges, but was fun for me to play so I recommend it if the aesthetics catch your eye and you're in a retro gaming mood.

Commandos 3: Destination Berlin
 –

Not as strong as earlier Commandos games, but still fun!

Destination Berlin's biggest flaw is that it isn't quite to the level of the amazing earlier Commandos games, especially Commandos 2: Men of Courage. That said, it is still a very fun Stealth RTS and more than holds its own against most other games in the genre. If you can come in with slightly mediated expectations, I still give it a strong recommend.

Praetorians
 –

Classic Roman Empire strategy gem

Praetorians is an absolute classic RTS, focusing on the emerging Roman Empire and its conquests. There is an HD remaster out now if you want slightly more detailed soldier graphics, but in my opinion this older game still holds up well and is more amazing value for money. Gameplay is identical and terrific in both, so pick one and play Praetorians!

Cinemaware Anthology
 –

Great Cinemaware games collection, with both Amiga and MS-DOS ports

For sure some of these old classics hold up better than others, but overall it is a fun collection for a good price. And there are some real gems here, including It Came From the Desert I and II, and Wings!. I also appreciate that both Amiga and MS-DOS versions were included when possible. If you like retro gaming and are curious about Cinemaware, I think it is very much worth the buy.

Hearts of Iron IV: Battle for the Bosporus
 –

Nice additions

Expanding the depth of certain countries like Turkey is good. It adds an enjoyable side to other countries as well.

Crusader Kings III: Royal Edition
 –

Awesome game. Great decision to purchase

It has everything and having played just a bit of CKII before, this is vastly more enjoyable. Paradox outdid themselves with it. Looking forward to what else they have in store for us in the coming months and years.

Hearts of Iron IV: Allied Speeches Pack
 –

A bit of history

Just a little something to spice things up. It is quite good. Not essential.

Hearts of Iron IV: Allied Armor Pack
 –

Just a nice pack

Something to improve the experience. The pack will give you a better feel of you armies on the map. Not essential, but nice addition to the game especially if you like to have variety.

Good, if ...

Federations were pretty sad affair, pre-DLC. Now you have more choices and options, though I still prefer to stay out of the limitations federations enforce.
