The warhammer total war series continues to improve with this entry. It takes the basic ideas from the first game and polishes them up. All the new races get rituals to help make them unique and powerful in their own way and the unique faction features help these factions stand out far more then the ones from the first game. For example skaven work for food and conquest, caring little for gold. While the dark elves take slaves from every fight to build their economy at the cost of potential rebellion... The campaign has been overhauled with now a direct goal that puts one at odds with the other factions, and gives a reason to do more then sit in a corner making a giant empire. Although one can still win if they lose the race for first the game makes sure to punish players with an uphill fight as it should be. Best yet if you have the first game you get a giant twin map to play with any of the factions!
