Tropico 5: Gone Green DLC
 –

A classic DLC

This is a classic DLC for Tropico which add for you The WindFarm, which look pretty much the same like the one from Tropico 4. This DLC have also a dedicated green mission, soundtrack, map and accessories. Is not the biggest DLC for Tropico, but is useful because of the windfarm.

Tropico 5: Supervillian DLC

The laser

The Supervillain DLC let you build a giant laser that can help you in the case of an invasion or a revolution. This will add for you an extra map, costume, accesoire and soundtrack, like all the DLCs.

Tropico 5: The Big Cheese DLC
 –

New industry in tropico

This DLC is so great because you have one more industry in the game that provides you with money. This industry is so rentable because can be used in the colonial era, because is not a heavy industry.

Tropico 5: Generalissimo DLC
 –

Military building

This DLC is great because you can build a new military building. Yes, you can build a new fort if you want more military buildings, but this building is much beautiful and provides you elite infantry, like the presidential palace. This DLC have also a dictator costume that look awsome and a new island, but the most important part of the DLC is the military building.

Tropico 5: Surfs Up! DLC
 –

New building and scenario

This DLC adds a new mission, a new map a new costume, a new soundtrack and a new building: The Dolphinarium. This is interesting, the building can be visited by the tourists, but it's not a must to have thing. Also, the map, costume, mission and soundtrack... you can play very weel without its. I bought this DLC because I am a fan of Tropico, but it's not the greatest pack for this game.

Tropico 5
 –

Game is fun

I see that Tropico 5 share the curse of all the good series, the curse of predecessor. If you already have a very succesful game in your hands, developers are facing somehow a dilemma: if they try to keep the old mechanics and game design, fans will accuse them of copying the old game. And if they try to implement new mechanics, then fans will complain about how the new game spoiled what it was good. The curse of homm3 over its succesors is the best example of that.

In case you had great fun playing tropico 3 or 4, this game probably won't give more to you only because it's developed few years later. In this perspective, i find most of fan's critics are right. Yet, for those who didn't play a tropico game before and for those who seek an enjoyable simulation, i strongly recommend Tropico 5. Particularly the campaign is well designed, and most of all game is fun.
