  1. Fun for singleplayer, but very grindy

I picked this up for about $22 Canadian, and it's the first 2K game I've bought since 2k15ish (although I've played some of the more recent 2Ks with friends). Overall it's a pretty decent game if you're just interested in the singleplayer component. MyLeague and the single player portions of MyTeam (esp Triple Threat mode) are quite fun. MyCareer is grindy as hell and frustrating until your about mid-70 Overall, but is still pretty fun once you accept the grind and embrace the incremental progress your character makes. The game is pretty buggy, which can also be frustrating (I've had my character glitch out in practice a couple of times, forcing a restart, and on my first mycareer character the game bugged out and skipped my draft, leading to me having to be signed as a free agent). Overall I'm pretty satisfied given that I got the game on sale, but if I had had to pay >25$, if I was hyped about playing online, or if I was upgrading from any of the last 3 years, I think I'd be pretty disappointed.
