  1. Worth checking out.

    Pretty fun fps rpg with a ton of content. The gameplay elements could have more depth though.

  2. Neither shooter yet nor RPG anymore

    Fallout 4 falls a bit flat in all departments; its not a great base builder for the parts where you can do that, though mods expand this greatly.
    Its not a great shooter, though it clearly has put far more emphasis on the non-VATS fighting this time around.
    And, I think this comes as no surprise past FO3 for those who loved the CRPG originals, its not really an "oldschool" RPG much anymore, either. It can still be an enjoyable "Discover the world" romp, but it turned me off far quicker than prior entries while at the same time having me hoping the opposite would be the case beforehand.
    Shame. I guess it needs to decide where to commit even more fully, rather than being in such a weird middle ground spot to really get its groove back for real.
