After a couple of disappointing, repetitive entries in the series, the extra time in development and the new setting breathe life back into the series. Great game so far.
I absolutely love it. The world FEELS alive and I love Bayek, or at least the relationships he has with other characters. Combat while still nothing to write home about has been improved and is at least satisfying. The animations during combat itself are fantastic though. It encountered a decent amount of bugs, but nothing severe and it runs fine for me. It's not a masterpiece game: many of it's features remain stagnant and passable at best, but it has a strong identity despite changing much and dare I say: all to the better. More than other games in the franchise, this one feels like it has DNA from Prince of Persia and while not matching it, it comes damn close.
