If you're a fan of Red Orchestra then you know where you're getting yourself into. If you are not familiar with Tripwire's take on WW2 then you're in for a surprise that you may or may not enjoy in their take of the Vietnam war.
The game is a solid FPS but rewards patience and teamwork over fast reflex and good aiming. Every soldier, friendly or foe will die in 1-2 shots well placed above the abdominal area. This type of gameplay that attempts to mimic reality as much as it is possible in a videogame, can be frustrating to those of us who are used to more arcade FPS like Battlefield or Call of Duty.
The maps, graphics, classes, factions and weapons are based on their real counterparts focusing the gameplay primarily in close quarter combat. I'd say that Rising Storm 2 Vietnam is a great combination of medium to large maps and hardcore mode from the latest titles in the battlefield franchise but without most vehicles and the UI elements.
If you like FPS in a Vietnam setting, with up to 100 vs 100 players and don't mind dying in 1-2 bullets while focusing on teamwork more than in racking up kills, then you'll enjoy this videogame.
