  1. Fun but needs the expansions
by Rogier Flikweert, Netherlands - Jan 14th 2019

Stellaris is a good foundation for a game, but needs the expansions and updates. The dev's keep working on it and bring out a lot of DLC (like we are used to from Paradox).

  2. Quite Good
    by b00p, USA - Nov 12th 2018

A great mixture of Crusader Kings and UEIV with some streamlining to make it more palatable for durps like me who just can't deal with CKII's style (or lack thereof.) Not perfect, and DLC policy notwithstanding, this is a unique and great space empire sandbox and well worth your time if you're into this sort of thing. Be prepared to shell out for the DLC tho.

  3. Requires dlc
    by Paul K.12, Germany - Sep 16th 2018

    Quite boring without dlcs.
    Stellaris Utopia is essencial.
But with dls is quite fun

  4. Paradox does it again
    by Dubbs09, USA - Jul 2nd 2018

Huge HOI4 fan that was looking for something different....and Paradox delivered. Get on sale because you'll want a few (or all DLC) but growing your galactic empire will become addictive.

  5. Still great
    by Eduard K.2, Slovakia - May 21st 2018

Don't get fooled by the recent surge of negativity after the 2.0 update, this game is a near perfect atmospheric mashup of 4x and (light) grand strategy.

  7. Great game made even greater by ongoing patches
    by Hiddeknight, Australia - Feb 27th 2018

The 2.0 Patch was just what this game needed. Great to play both solo and online.

  8. Space, the final frontier...
    by Tapiwa N., Canada - Feb 17th 2018

It's a semi-openended space sim. It's good if your the type of gamer who gets lost in a game for hours at a time.

  9. Stellar game!
    by mojster, Croatia - Feb 15th 2018

Like most Paradox games, you get an incredible strategy game filled with content. Relatively easy to understand and play, yet it offers great challenges. I fully recommend it.

  13. Space realtime-ish 4X
    by Vladimir F.3, USA - Dec 21st 2017

A solid 4X game with some cool twists. As a Paradox game, the focus is often on the story of your space empire - whether it's a democratic utopia, a dictatorial military junta, or even some stranger political system. The action takes place over real-time, but you can pause and speed up the clock whenever you need to. The lack of turns can be disorienting for players familiar with Civ or other 4Xs, but is easy to grasp and have fun with.

  14. Good, but not great
    by Drid, USA - Dec 21st 2017

The game right now is pretty fun for a couple playthroughs but gets stale much faster than the other paradox games. I'm sure a couple meaty dlcs will ultimately solve this issue.

  15. 4X/Empire Simulator from Paradox
    by Air H., Latvia - Dec 20th 2017

This is a 4X game with the Paradox spin on it. This means really in-depth systems can be found in this game- though a bit less in-depth than their other games, it is really fun to make your own empire- whether it be the Democratic Defenders of the Galaxy or the No Xenos must live sort of empire, you will like this game. It has it's flaws, but it is getting a really big update semi-soon: I recommend looking up more on that if you aren't sure on getting the game. If you like Paradox games and 4X- I think you will enjoy this one too.
