  1. Good transition from mobile*****

Knights of Pen and Paper is an interesting proposition, balancing the video-game dungeon-crawling experience with that of (basic) tabletop principles, and simultaneously having to transform what was originally a mobile game to a full-fledged PC release.

For the most part it succeeds, with its older-school RPG mechanics that are not too grindy nor are they too simple due to the mobile game origins of the title. The humour lands most of the time, and the gameplay is fun having retained some of the table-top flexibility such as choosing the number of your foes etc.

The package in question comes with all the DLC gubbins and is often affordable enough that, most people will get their money's worth :)

  2. Nicely done!*****

When you refer to RPGs now, the first thing that comes to most of the people's minds are videogames. But once upon a time, people used to hang out together to play in a table, reading, talking, writing, throwing dice and moving figurines around. This game pays homage to all that, in the form of a turn-based jRPG with a retro 8-bit look.

Funny references for grown ups and anyone who has played RPGs in the old fashined way descibed before!
