  1. Great old style classic.... but I'd get the improved AD version instead

It's the jrpg as you remember... bright colors and positive upbeat main characters.

Too many rpgs try to be "serious" these days with drab shades of gray and mentally anguished characters :(

However, a new improved version of this game has come out (advent darkness), so I'd buy that version instead of this one.

  2. Notice me Sempai

Ok, this is your typical JRPG: over the top clothing and weapons, over the top intro, somewhat clunky but functional mechanics but still reasonably fun. Turn-based, not much of an over world, somewhat visual novelish. It's ok, but you'd be better off with FF:ADF, the remake.

  3. Another jRPG

Which means, it's grindy. If this repels you, stop right here, this game isn't for you. If not, then you'll get a decent, but not extraordinary jRPG. Cute girls, likeable protagonist, decent combat-system, although a little repetitive at times (comparable to hyperdimension nep 1)
    Enjoy!
