  1. Campaign has some minor issues, but overally a good game*****

    I've enjoyed this game a lot, particularly as I have been reading De Bello Gallico in school 20 years ago. If you approach this game from a historical perspective, it's good fun and will let you follow Caesar's conquest in a fresh way, adapted to the PC. If you intend to move away from history, then it may not be optimal to start the historical campaign and you should instead try the sandbox scenario. I strongly surmise that this game got the mixed reviews, because people played the campaign but expected the sandbox.
