Description

The Republic is the third expansion for the critically praised strategy / RPG Crusader Kings II. In The Republic you play as a Patrician in one of the great medieval Merchant Republics. Expand your trade empire as you compete with the other four Patrician families for the coveted position of Doge and the leadership of the Republic.

Crusader Kings II explores one of the defining periods in world history in an experience crafted by Paradox Development Studio, the masters of Grand Strategy. Medieval Europe is brought to life in this epic game of knights, schemes, and thrones.

    Medieval Capitalism*****

    This DLC allows a player to access Merchant Republics, which offer an entirely new play style focused on the acquisition of wealth. Definitely worth it if you think capitalism in the medieval era is interesting or are just looking for a new spin on things.

    This allows republics to become playable. It feels very restrictive as you do not have many interactions with the outside world.

    This DLC was one of the first, and it really shows. It's mediocre and You won't probably return to it after You played it once. But it's nice to play, it's something different after all.
