  1. Yakuza 6 reaches new heights

As an installment of the Yakuza series, Yakuza 6 reaches new heights. However, in the conclusion of Kiryu's story, the resolution is not the greatest. The photorealism of the environments and the cutscenes take the jaw and propel the virtual Yakuza that we are in a fantasized Japan how intoxicating.

  2. Over the top

This is likely the most over-the-top Yakuza featuring Kiryu. The story is ridiculous but highly enjoyable and I find there's a good balance of side-activities and the main story. Especially 4 and 5 felt a little overloaded in that aspect. Highly recommended, even when you don't plan on playing every Yakuza in chronological order.

  3. A Worthy Saga closer, also called a Masterpiece

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is probably RGG Studio's most impressive work in my opinion.

Yakuza 6 was the first game that ran on the Dragon Engine, RGG's groundbreaking piece of technology. It was also the first true PS4 entry to the franchise. The combat was a lot different compared to previous entries. All previous styles were merged into one, which was seen again in Yakuza Kiwami 2, a year later.

In my opinion, RGG really went all out with the soundtracks and the cutscenes and animations. It's not a perfect, but a really great way to end the Kiryu Saga.
