  1. The best kart racer on the PC so far

I enjoyed the previous Sonic Kart entry (Sonic & All-Stars Transformed) but felt that it fell short of amazing due to a few small issues. Team Sonic Racing, however, has improved on the mechanics and clarity and is much more polished overall.

+ Courses are great, with a lot of variety (not quite as good as the previous game mind, but still better than most).

+ The feel of the karts has been improved greatly and now feel like they actually have weight. There are only 18 racers this time round (to my knowledge), but the differences between them are much more noticable.

+ The sense of speed that is expected of a Sonic game is there (again, a noticable improvement on the previous game).

+ A good amount of variety in game modes.

+ Customization is much more in depth than you would expect (12 different surface types for the kart parts - such as plastic, brushed metallic, etc.).

+ Colourful visuals which match the nature of the game.

    Neutral points:

    * It's tough. Even easy provides a challenge if you want all the stars. Don't expect to be done in a day

    * The main mechanic/gimmick has changed from transformation to teamwork. It's purely personal prefernce if you like this change.

    * The courses are a step down from the previous game but are now much clearer as a result, meaning that you shouldn't get lost at all in this game!

    - The loading times, oh my God the loading times. They are dreadful and on more than one occassion I've ended up opening Task Manager to see if the game has crashed!

    - The main mechanic is team based racing and the AI aren't all that bright. Expect to be hit with a weapon you've just passed them all to often.

Fantastic game. Much better than it's predecessors and by far the best kart racing game without Mario in it! If you enjoy kart racers, arcade racers or anything Sonic related at all, then buy this game - you won't be disappointed. It's got that 'X' factor which just compels you to play on and on; just one more race. Okay, one more. Think I'll have another. Anyway, if you'll excuse me, I have a race to finish!

Tl;dr - brilliant game, buy it!
