Great game. played way back when but wanted it again
This is my first time playing Borederlands 2 but I played a little bit of the pre-sequel on PS3 or PS4, I don't remember.
Pros:
- Great story, great villain
- Fun to play with friends in co-op
- Items like weapons are always randomized, meaning you can go for a god roll on certain items, although it may be tiring for others to farm for these perfect rolls
Cons:
- Eventually, it can feel that the enemies become bullet sponges as you go to higher levels and OP levels as well
- Humour can sometimes feel old (game was released in 2012 after all)
- If you want the best items you have to grind for these which would take a while (some people enjoy this part, others don't)
Getting the handsome collection gets you most of the dlcs, expect for the last one which is "Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary" which I would not get unless you really care about the end game.
Out of the installments, I find Borderlands 2 to have good gameplay and a great story, while Borderlands 3 has better gunplay but weaker story.
