I'm giving this 4 stars as, while I really love the story and recommend that game on that basis alone, the combat is frankly disappointing. It really pales in comparison to Silent Hill 2 Remake's combat. Even as someone who enjoys the janky combat of games like Elex, this was just a poor experience for me.
This is definitely an improvement over 3 and, to my surprise, ran better than I expected. I think there must just be some very particular settings that tank performance. The gameplay is the best it's ever been. But, contrary to what most say, the humor is still rather poor. I haven't encountered anything like from the 2nd game yet that really made me laugh. So, if you're expecting a return to form on this front, I'd temper my expectations. It really is just the same kind of humor as in 3 again. As for the story, so far it hasn't gripped me but I will be sure to update if that changes
This is great, I can actually buy this game somewhere. I have tried looking for roms and had found something that would let me access the game but for whatever reason they took it down due to steam no longer having its availability. qnq I have this on Playstation 4 but its controls really suck on console and so I decided to get it on pc and my gosh it has better controls by default over console. ^u^
The only thing that is changed is the combat, UI, additional filler quest, some new skills and so on. there alot list of change and improvement but the only downside i could think of is the combat feels abit shallow.
Although the graphics are great, the game itself is far from the quality of the first two instalments. The story is confusing and the campaign not well structured.
Not exactly the same as the first game, where instead of piloting a mecha you get mech suit. Action is fun, customization is good vehicles are terrible.
I prefer SRW Y does have a decent changes for upgrades, character sprites and so on but i prefer SRW 30 cause of the story and character dialog events like cafeteria events. still SRW Y story is ok but might need to improve UI, control and they reused half battle scenes from previous SRW.
Neat game but the only downside is the denuvo that effect the loading time, auto-save cannot be turn off and somehow there a anti-cheat for a solo RPG game. there are mods to improve the problems and quality of life.
... until it stopped working and started crashing every single time on startup. Anticheat didn't like my BIOS update and it was then I realised; no game is worth that level of intrusive 3rd party snooping.
