Deponia - The Complete Journey
 –

A dystopian Monkey Island

The Deponia series is a surprisingly good point and click adventure with one of the most unlikable protagonists. But once (or IF) you get used to the crude humour, some illogical puzzles and some more crude humour, you'll find yourself immersed in a beautifully made dystopian world. If you like the Monkey Island series, you might enjoy Deponia as well!

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav
 –

A classic fantasy adventure

Daedalic Entertainment keeps releasing wonderful point and click adventures that remind you of the golden age of the genre. The Dark Eye follows the path of a classic fantasy adventure game. It looks and sounds amazing and has a likeable protagonist and characters. The story takes you to Kingdom of Andergast where you'll stumble into a larger-than-life quest.

Gabriel Knight - Sins of Father - 20th Anniversary Edition
 –

The Great Voodoo Mystery

The first part in a series of 90's classic Gabriel Knight adventures is one of those games that remind you how good of a storytelling medium a game can be. This, being a remake of the classic, while perhaps not always perfect, is a wonderful and faithful modernized version of the best voodoo themed adventure there is!

STASIS
 –

Sci-fi for the patient

STASIS is definitely not for everyone. It's a slow-paced, claustrophobic and at times quite a gory experience. BUT if these are the things you are looking for in a game, then it'll be quite a rewarding journey, assuming you don't mind going through a lot of text.

Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure
 –

Welcome back, Tex Murphy!

Definitely a delight for the fans of Tex Murphy. I was positively overwhelmed right from the start. Although I'm not so sure how this game would play for the uninitiated. This series works because of its fantastic yet quirky storytelling and Chris Jones. Mixing live video with 3d environments works at times, but destroys the experience then and again (like when you realize you don't see any human characters during actual gameplay). I for one would welcome a new Tex Murphy adventure anytime. But maybe it's time for a different approach, something more in the vein of Telltale's games.
