Escape Will Make Me Addicted*****

This game has a steep learning curve, and to be honest there are UI/UX elements that could be improved, but the gameloop is addicting and the gunplay is solid. Escape might not have made me a god, but perhaps if I try again...and again...and again...

Hearts of Iron IV: Waking the Tiger
 –

Must have for those interested in the Asian front*****

A massive expansion that breathes life into the Asian theater. The new focus trees for China and the general trait system are game-changers.

Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns
 –

Must have for those interested in naval warfare*****

If you enjoy the naval side of WWII, this is required. The ship designer and new paths for the US and UK add tons of replayability.

Hearts of Iron IV: Death or Dishonor
 –

Good, but not a must have*****

Great if you want to play as Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia or Yugoslavia. It adds nice flavor to Central/Eastern Europe, but isn't as "core" as other expansions.

Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance
 –

Nice addition, but not must have*****

Adds espionage and secret agents. It's a fun layer of complexity, but you can definitely enjoy the base game without the micromanagement of spies.

Hearts of Iron IV: Battle for the Bosporus
 –

A mixed bag*****

Decent DLC if you have a specific interest in the Balkan region, mostly focused on focus trees for Turkey, Greece, and Bulgaria. Otherwise, not a must have.

Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone
 –

Must have for added gameplay*****

The plane designer and the overhaul to Italy make this a must have DLC. The new peace conference options are also a huge improvement.

Europa Universalis IV: Leviathan
 –

Good (today), but skippable*****

Good for players who like to "play tall" and concentrate development in their capital. It adds some cool monuments, but it's not a mandatory expansion. It was broken at launch, but it's all good now.

 –

For flavor*****

Nice to have if you're tired of the base soundtrack, but it doesn't change change the gameplay. Buy it on sale.

Omerta: City of Gangsters: The Con Artist DLC
 –

Good but skippable*****

Adds the Connecticut Avenue district and a new henchman, Anna Anderson. The mission is a fun change of pace focusing on a high-society scam, but it's a short experience. Get it if you want one more "episode" of the story.

Omerta: The Japanese Incentive DLC
 –

Must have if you want more Omerta*****

Good to have if you want more Omerta, as it's pretty much an expansion: it adds a full new campaign that is very lengthy (12 missions long with new buildings and NPCs!). The flamethrower and Katana are also great fun in combat.

Omerta: City of Gangsters: The Arms Industry DLC
 –

Good but skippable*****

This one focuses on the Industrial District and adds Johnny "Deadeye" Hastings to your roster. It's a solid combat-heavy mission where you take over weapons factories. Not a game-changer, though.

Omerta: City of Gangsters: Damsel in Distress DLC
 –

Good but skippable*****

Another smaller DLC that adds the Suburbs district and Henry "The Kid" McCarty. It's a classic "rescue" mission setup. It doesn't add many new mechanics, so it's mostly for completionists who want every available henchman.

Hearts of Iron IV: Together for Victory
 –

Must have for greater management options*****

Essential for the autonomy system alone. It makes playing as a puppet or managing subjects much more engaging, especially for the Commonwealth nations.

Stellaris: Overlord
 –

Very solid add-on*****

This expansion completely revamps the vassal systems, making them a deep and viable part of your strategy. It also comes with other notable features, such as orbital rings and hyper relays to enhance planetary defense and movement between systems. Recommended for a more complete experience.

Ready or Not
 –

Fantastic spiritual successor to SWAT*****

I am in love with this game. It is a true successor to the old SWAT games. A great selection of diverse maps, weapons, and gadgets to deal with different criminal situations according to your style. Improvements to the AI would be desirable, but overall I've had a lot of fun and gotten what I paid for.
