Takes Me Back...

Reminds me of my days playing SimTower all those years ago. Gameplay easy enough to understand (though I've yet to play on the "Hard" settings), and graphics look pretty cool. Doesn't seem to be processor heavy at all, which is also good. It can get a bit repetative towards the end, and they do need to have more (or better) maintenance crews, but still a very enjoyable game none the less.

Cities: Skylines - Deluxe Edition
 –

Fantastic City Builder

I purchased this game while it was on a recent sale. Even though my computer specs weren't supported (I have a new 15" MacBook Pro) I thought I'd try it anway as the price was good. I've experienced no problems at all with my cities (100k + population) so far. No crashes, lag or anything. I did turn some of my graphics settings down however.

The game itself is fantastic - What the latest SimCity SHOULD'VE been, but wasn't. The graphics and gameplay are both great. Very enjoyable! Some of the unlocks and achievements are quite difficult, but worthwhile doing.

The modding and map creation are also great.

If you have doubts whether your system or machine might not run this game but you still want to try it I would say wait until the next big sale. Just in case.

Solid Arcade-Style Shooter

This game reminds me of arcade shooters from the 1990's. Nothing fancy, but solid none the less. All you need to worry about is pointing and shooting. That's it! Not a game for long extended plays but fun enough to go back to every now and again.

A Fun Little City Sim Game

A great period-style city sim game from a small independent developer. I agree that this game can be a little repetitive at times but that's the nature of city sim games. Still, I enjoyed playing it and it's well worth the money.

Victory At Sea

Fantastic Naval Sim

A detailed WW2 navy sim game. It was great reliving some of the greatest naval battles in history and the graphics were quite decent.

Again, aircraft carriers proved their worth as they were able to send off waves of planes which could severly damage, or sink, enemy ships long before their guns came into firing range on your ships. In some campaigns I loaded up heavily on carriers and was able to sink the entire enemy navy before they could even reach my ships. It almost made it too easy!

Definitely recommend - especially if you're into naval battles!

Put Your Life On Hold!

Disregard everything else (for a week or two at least) while you're playing this great game! The Sims always rock, but Sims 3 takes things to a whole new level!

An Absolute Laugh !

I had tons of fun playing this game. The humor and dialog cracked me up. Gameplay is great too, but level 20 (the last level) is an absolute massacre! You really need your wits about you for that one!

... and you never really seem to get quite enough porridge!

Great game from a very promising independent developer.

Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition

Zombies Rock!

Despite the fact that I had to use Steam (which I hate) and that my machine (2010 MacBook Pro 17" running OS X Mavericks) supposedly did not meet the criterior for the game, it worked fine with my setup.

The game itself is great. A lot of repetition though, and I don't always enjoy it when the zombies respawn when you leave an area. Doesn't make much sense - but then neither do zombies period! Still love zombie stuff though!

Loved It!

A great little "old school" type game from a cool independant developer. It was like reliving the entire history of gaming all over again (yes, I'm that old!)

Game is even more fun with mods!

Great Story

I love the depth of story with this game. Very well done and your decisions really do matter in regards to how the story ends, so choose wisely!

Game works great under both OS X Mavericks and Yosemite.
