BioShock is a classic in its own right. Some love the gameplay, some feel it could be more fun, but almost everyone agrees the story, atmosphere and world BioShock present are unforgettable. In this rare instance, everyone is actually right :)
The world of Dishonored is grim and gritty but the lore sucks you in and keeps you invested in it.
Dishonored's gameplay is fantastic, especially if you enjoy stealth. This is a must-play especially since it goes on sale for like $3! I mean, come on!
Fallout 4 has the best gameplay out of all the Fallout games I've played so far (3, NV). They perfected it. The graphics are ultra sharp and easy on the eyes. The story is above-average and I kept postponing it to play the side quests, which are just great and so is the new Companion system.
Great game and it goes on sale fairly often so get it then for an even better experience!
Max Payne 3 continues the excellent story-telling and time-stopping shootouts of MP 1 and 2, both now hallmarks of the series.
The graphics are stunningly beautiful and the game has aged very well. I re-install it every year or so and replay the campaign from start to finish. It's that good.
Max Payne 3 is grittier, harsher and now my personal favorite of all three games. Absolutely recommended.
Batman: Arkham Knight concludes the storyline started in Batman: Arkham Asylum and continued in Arkham City (and even ties in with the imo superior Origins).
The graphics are very, very sharp and beautiful. Sometimes I just glide around with my Batsuit and try to take in the views.
The hand-to-hand fights are great as usual and there are even more gadgets added to your arsenal.
You can now drive the famed BatMobile and take out tanks with it! The devs made it an integral part of gameplay and I personally enjoyed it a lot.
The story is okay but don't expect a pretty ending. I'm not going to reveal anything.
The side quests/cases are fun and varied as usual.
10/10 It's Commandos on steroids set in idyllic Edo-period Japan, with Samurais and Shinobis and Shoguns and all that The controls and mechanics are very enjoyable and the game tells you everything you need to know. Highly recommended.
The game is truly underrated and has a very 1960s USA vibe to it (unlike the Godfather/Goodfellas vibe of Mafia II).
It has some of the best acted cut-scenes in gaming. The story is that of revenge; simple really. The gameplay is repetitive yet very enjoyable. The gun fights and driving felt very awkward at first, but after a few upgrades, they've become really good. The music and sound tracks are unique and overwhelmingly good: actual songs from the 1960s. The three DLCs are fun and each add a different short-ish story. I liked Faster, baby! the most. The achievements aren't grindy.
-At first, I was annoyed by the greyed-out feel of the in-game graphics. I gave it some time and I was impressed by how beautiful the different objects are rendered and how they look. -The game sometimes glitches, so a quick Escape>Reload from Last Checkpoint fixes it.
You get to roast celebs! My favorite so far is playing as Dirty Potter (Dirty Harry/Harry Potter). The voice acting is top notch, but the insults are tame.
Developers, please make a no-holds-barred one next.
