Cities: Skylines - Content Creator Pack: Modern City Center
 –

Cosmetic Bump

The content pack adds some nice cosmetics to capture the city centre feel most of us probably experience, which is appreciated for a more varied game though doesn't change gameplay at all.

Cities: Skylines - Sunset Harbor
 –

Small additions adding up

A decent set of additions similar to previous DLC packs, improving a few areas for greater variety

Cities: Skylines - Content Creator Pack: Bridges & Piers
 –

Iconic city centrepieces

Bridges make a stunning centrepiece to most cites as focal points along rivers and harbours, so some visual flash to help them fit with your theme is a good addition

Stellaris: Overlord
 –

Expanding Posessions

Overlord expands upon the vassalisation system and possession of subject empires to make it a far more engaging and interesting system allowing for networks of diplomatically interconnected empires and power blocks not previously in the game. The hyperspace relays are also game changing for infrastructure and warfare and a nice addition to the game.

Total War™: WARHAMMER® III
 –

Great finale to series

Total Warhammer 3 brings a great series to a good conclusion, especially in the form of Immortal Empires with it's world-spanning map and all the prior races. This game has so much potential going forward too, and will be a favourite for years to come.

Total War™: WARHAMMER® II - The Silence & The Fury
 –

Solid addition

As with many of the Total Warhammer 2 DLCs, this offers a reasonable addition with the two new factions. The beastmen in particular are interesting, with their ability to rampage through an area quickly raising huge armies.

DARK SOULS™ Remastered
 –

Challenging!

Dark Souls - infamous for it's challenge - is looking good in this remaster. As a first dip into Dark Souls I can indeed confirm it is very difficult!

DwarfHeim
 –

Good concept, struggled implementation

Unfortunately, poor sales seems to have lead this game to be rushed to release - meaning the great concept within has not been seen through as well as hoped.

Shortest Trip to Earth - The Old Enemies
 –

Building on a great title

Shortest Trip to Earth is a great game which itself builds on the FTL-like formula. This DLC continues to add new variety to the game.

Kerbal Space Program: Breaking Ground Expansion
 –

Continued improvement

Building on KSP's already considerable base, this expansion continues to add new parts and options which are always a welcome addition to the massive sandbox.

Stellaris: Nemesis
 –

Underwhelming

The highlight of this expansion was to 'become the crisis' but this system seems a little underwhelming. By the time you get there you're probably steamrolling. It comes with unique ship types (menacing corvette/destroyer/cruisers) but these use the pirate models which look very out of place as a proper, advanced empire - you'd expect them to have a new ship set or at least use your normal one with highlights. They also use minerals which seems useful but by the time you get to them (3 ascension perks plus) you have tooled you your economy for alloys which suddenly becomes almost useless.

The update is decent but the DLC's main feature is not.

As Far As The Eye
 –

Challenge but interesting

Longish tutorial but that was ok. Gameplay can become surprisingly challenging. There seems to be a little progression between games but it isn't obvious or clear how that works. Still an interesting game with a unique blend of mechanics.

Northgard - Brundr & Kaelinn, Clan of the Lynx
 –

Interesting theme

The Lynx clan has interesting mechanics based around killing wolves/bears and summoning mythical animals to kill. However they are a very military focused clan and have little in the way of economic or other bonuses, making them difficult to play peacefully.

Per Aspera
 –

Great story, but lots of waiting

Great story driven martian citybuilder/terraforming game. However there seemed to be a lot of idle time just waiting for my resources to gather, workers to do stuff etc. Maybe I could have been optimising more but it didn't need me to.

I did suffer a few spirals as everything went bad but somehow managed to recover, however I would say the game can be very punishing!

Northgard - Lyngbakr, Clan of the Kraken
 –

Unique Clan

A very unique clan which really changes up the way the game plays, focusing on coastal tiles over inland tiles, getting all sorts of different bonuses. A really nice change of pace.

Stellaris: Lithoids Species Pack
 –

Interesting new species

New portraits, ship sets etc are good very good, but the best bit is the new mechanics associated with the lithoids, eating minerals and having a few new traits etc.

Stellaris: Federations
 –

New great content

Lots of new content based around federations, plus some good new origins. A very worthwhile DLC.

Transport Fever 2
 –

More Great Transport Fever!

Its Transport Fever with even more features, content, and quality of life improvements. Key upgrades for me so far:
1. Modular stations and stops, allowing flexibility to combine passenger and cargo stations, to upgrade after initial building, and all sorts of useful stuff.
2. Map generation settings including deciding the size, hilly-ness, foresty-ness, watery-ness, density of cities and industries etc, then seeing previews and rerolling until a map you want. Also a built in map editor.
3. New vehicle set and theme (Asia)

Only slight reservation is only requiring two finished goods for each city rather than needing a bit of all of them, which I preferred, but it does simplify the logistics a bit which is a pro and a con.

Frostpunk: Season Pass
 –

Great additions so far

All the Frostpunk content has been very interesting and deep so far. The Last Autumn has been a great scenario which, unlike usual, I will probably play through several times dues to the different directions you can take it in. I will certainly be playing more! Well worth it.
