The new content is okay, but considering how much of it there is, I wouldn't say it's worth it unless heavily discounted. Overall, supposing you love the game and are using mods for additional content, you should get this to have the full experience available to you.
This is a more story driven campaign with less randomness and fixed soldiers available to you. You won't get all the soldier in one playthrough and the maps are randomized so that is the only RNG factor here, other than the gameplay itself.
It has interesting mechanics as far as the gameplay is concerned, but largely it reuses XCom 2's skills and abilities with minor tweaks and changes. There are unique abilities available to the characters and the new grenades and equipment change the combat in comparison.
I recommend watching a let's play to get a better feel of how it's different, but rest assured, it's fun! This is coming from a fan of both the new games and their expansions.
It's a good tower management game. Imagine your typical city builder, where each region has specific bonuses and needs, but built vertically. It can be challenging at times.
In general it is a nice diversion from other genres and a different take on your typical management sims.
Aragami is a fun little stealth game. It doesn't really offer the usual alternative of going berserk whenever you're seen, so that makes it more challenging. It's akin to a puzzle solver in the sense that you have to create a mental image of enemy routes to progress, rather than react to them. The collectibles add to the story and challenge of the game.
With a prequel on the way, if you enjoy stealth, I can wholeheartedly recommend this!
Lots of fun to play! It's a mindless shooter really but with a story added to it to keep things interesting. It explains a lot of things about the reboot (DOOM 2016) and the gameplay seems to be much harder in comparison.
Still, lots of new mechanics have been added and there's tons of fun to be had! Story DLCs are coming and I'm looking forward to them!
A fun dlc that adds many ways to see your beautiful city destroyed, just as it was beginning to work correctly. The emergencies are fun to deal with, but sometimes they happen at the absolute worst times, which will take time to recover from.
No reason not to build entire sections of your city anew I suppose. You were going to do it anyway.
Now when I say excellent I do mean it, but I'm using "survival horror" a bit more loosely. It's akin to Resident Evil 4, where you're not really scared and survival means you have to shoot a lot, but it's not like you'll run out of ammo.
The plot is interesting though and so is the action and the level design. Graphics are good, even though the game is old.
Unlike the main game, Kidman's campaign focused more on stealth and thus the game changed to proper survival horror with some puzzles of varying difficulty.
The final DLC is a first person hack n slash game set in the world of the evil within. You control the safehead and run around clobbering enemies. Completely different to the main game and the other DLC, but fun if you're into that sort of thing.
