This is a story-driven game first and foremost, don't expect a game where you get thrown out into the open world right away. The story comes first, which is something I appreciate about the Mafia franchise. You follow Enzo, who's been a miner his whole life trying to make something out of himself, getting entagled with the Sicilian mob in 1904. I played it for around 2 a half hours and I like it a lot so far.
There's not that many games from this time period - set in rural Europe right around the time many people were leaving for the US, trying to escape dire working conditions and this game explores that theme. The visuals are great and so are the environments, very picturesque. Mocap is again at some of its best in the industry, however in generic dialogues outside of cutscenes the facial animations don't seem all that great.
Performance could see some improvements, however most of the time it seems fine (playing this on 4070 Ti S and an older i7-9700K I get full framerate (75 fps on my monitor) at max settings 80 % of the time, however in cities my CPU gets maxed out and I get around 40-50 fps). Haven't tried fiddling with the settings yet.
People have been complaining about Denuvo which could be the cause of some CPU usage, however it doesn't seem to be a big deal. It'll likely get removed as time progresses.
A very interesting historical RTS and train management game. The combat seems to be little rough around the edges, I definitely enjoy the train management a lot mroe. Digital deluxe edition gives access to some DLC, artbook and soundtrack.
Finally, a sequel to one of my favourite grand strategies. Definitely a step in the right direction, although certain areas feel lacking compared to CK2
This expansion focuses mostly on India, but it adds features for everyone to use like government reforms which enable you to do some nation customization - it's pretty cool. This collection also includes the Content pack with some unit models for India and it's cheaper together.
It adds lots of flavour for Iberian nations - mission trees, features, events, unit packs, music and so on. It's alright. - I would recommend it on a sale though.
HOI4 has been getting some crazy good expansions lately. Definitely a step up from Together for victory, this expands the game in actually meaningful ways.
