Total War™: WARHAMMER® II - The Queen & The Crone
 –

Decent Content

Adds some really good units to both Dark and High Elf factions, definitely worth grabbing on a sale if you are a player of either of those two factions.

Total War™: WARHAMMER® - The King and the Warlord
 –

Squigs!!

Honestly I just bought this for the squigs, they're hilarious! It's decent enough content for the Green Skins and Dwarves, some nice new units and regements of reknown. Worth a grab on sale if you are a fan of either of these two factions.

Stellaris: Galaxy Edition Upgrade Pack
 –

Nothing too fancy

It doesn't add anything of value to the game itself, it's just a few extra external add-ons that are "nice to haves" not "must haves". The soundtrack is good but even then I would only pick this up on a heavy discount unless you are a Stellaris super fan and must have the soundtrack.

Stellaris: Federations
 –

Needed Diplomacy Rework

These really big DLC's are always a weird one to review as they usually come with massive base game changes and this DLC was no different. The game received a much needed rework to the Diplomacy system at the same time as this DLC was launched, this expansion really just extends the number of things you can do with the new systems the added in the base update.
So you get more diplomacy and federation options, extra origins as well as some love for your mighty war machine in the juggernaut and mega shipyard.
Overall a good DLC and certainly worth picking up if you find it on a discount!

XCOM®: Chimera Squad
 –

Not really XCOM, more XCOM lite

If you are picking this up in the hopes that this is more traditional XCOM fun you may well be disappointed. This game is more of a spin off than a proper mainline entry to the series. It plays very differently on the strategic layer (if you can really call it that). You are limited in the overall scope of what you do what with the game focusing on one city rather than the global scope of the mainline games.

You're also restricted to a pool of pre-determined named agents and any new agents you gain are also from a pre-determined pool and as a result of this change your squad cannot die, should they "die" in mission they only become injured and missing from action for a few.

There are some interesting new ideas in the game, like the breach system, the forced smaller scale and the "Interleaved Turns" (you go, I go kind of deal) which freshen up the old formula a little, which make this a fun diversion for the series but ultimately forgettable after a completion or two.

It's a decent enough pickup for 50% off.

Stellaris: Necroids Species Pack
 –

Nice but not essential addition

Just like all these small species or story pack DLC's they are a nice addition but not really essential. A good pickup on sale just for some extra things to play with.

Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters
 –

Injects more than a little chaos

Along with the titular disasters you also get a response system to doomsday prep your city and one of the better additions, helicopters that allow your emergencies services to circumvent your inevitable traffic congestion.

The disasters are implemented well and you get the choice of allowing them to occur randomly, starting one yourself if you are feeling vindictive, or you can disable them altogether if you don't fancy all your hard work being wiped out in one fell swoop.

Overall a fun but not essential DLC.

Cities: Skylines - Relaxation Station
 –

Nice tunes

A decent enough selection of tunes to listen to whilst trying to wrestle with the inevitable traffic problems!

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen
 –

Essential Upgrade to a Great Game

From essential performance upgrades to the addition of new recruitable classes via factions and the introduction the the titular Chosen, the Aliens answer to the XCOM threat, this expansion adds a whole host of great content to an already good game to take it to a whole new level.

This is a must buy if you enjoyed the base game and are looking for more!

Tropico 4: Collector's Bundle
 –

Decent Light Hearted City Builder

Whilst it lacks a lot of the humour from the third title in the series there is still enough there that it can differentiate itself from the more serious titles in the genre.

The campaign is pretty fun with a nice mix of different scenarios requiring you to try out a variety of different approaches to city building instead of just putting down the same cookie cutter towns.

There is a good amount of management to be had in the game, as well as the genre standard economy management you also have various internal factions and external global powers to please. You can choose to pander to certain groups at the expense of reputation with their opposites, try and balance the happiness of all or ignore everyone and go all in on the dictatorship theme and rule with a large army and an iron fist.

There is plenty of fun to be found in this package and would recommend grabbing during a decent sale!
