This is the first, and definitely necessary, expansion to Stellaris. The added megastructures make this game a much better sci-fi experience. They remind me of the Culture books, which is always good.
Stellaris is a good foundation for a game, but needs the expansions and updates. The dev's keep working on it and bring out a lot of DLC (like we are used to from Paradox).
This mini expansion is a nice addition to Stellaris, adding some mini bosses through the galaxy. Not necessary for the game in any way, but it makes the game more interesting.
Enjoyed this game very much, overall a small improvement over Dungeons 2. Pros: -Smooth gameplay -Takes 20 to 30 hours -Good voice acting and narration
Cons: -Easy, defintely play on 'Hellish' if you want any kind of challenge (even then mostly in the last 4 or 5 missions) -UI needs some finetuning -Story is not as memorable as the last game and it's expansions
Decent game. If you liked the previous ones you'll probably like this, because not a lot has changed. The era's are a nice addition to the game, gives a sense of progression. You do seem to have less information about your citizens though, which for me hints at the game being a bit more simplified at this level. All in all the same old Caribbean fun I've come to expect from this series, but it just didn't grab me as much as the previous version.
Adds more challenge to the game. I also really liked the addition of Barthas as your champion for both his interaction with the narrator and other characters, and his function as a general for your troops.
