Stellaris is a really living game, it changes constantly. Not really sure what is part of free update and what is in DLC, but additions are as usual significant and being able to start as a vassal and work your way up or out from it changes beginning of the game A LOT which kinda needed update from "the usual".
Uhmm... yeah, I should have read the reviews on Steam. In the current from (premiere day-ish) trains are just not worth it and DLC adds nothing really above them.
Well, it's really good replacement for the L4D. Progression is nice and fun, but... why the hell DLC guns are top tier and you can just jump into having top-most version of gun from Level 1? Shame to waste potential there.
It's a really good sequel to previous part, this time it's in Washington DC. Terrain is vast and differentiated, missions are... ok, tho they become repeatable. Gunplay is great as long as you don't mind having to choose guns you are given and not ones you want.
DLC really brings freshness to it, more maps all at the same time to fill in slow times on your main colony. Tho underground is frustrating at first, you are constantly finding caveins and can't go anywhere until you get magical tech. Oh, and it crashes a lot currently, so wait few more patches.
Well, if you are into playing in Balkan area, then it's really worth it. Otherwise, you can skip it and you won't loose out on anything that important.
Historical speeches in really good quality really add to the game, putting you right in those times and places, fighting for the Allies (in case of this DLC). Worth it unless you kill your game audio and use music from somewhere else.
Game is really easy and quite... overadvertised. Definetely lags behind games like XCOM when it comes to difficulty rating, but otherwise it's ok. Really good music and graphics in it, puts you right into the times.
New species type which is... interesting, a bit hive-mindy so if you are into this sort of stuff, it will be fun. They are slightly unqiue, but not sure if as much as full price would require.
I would call it watered down DLC - you get some small additions here and there, but otherwise it's not a game changer. Only if you are really running out of new things to do in Cities Skylines. Or on big promotion.
