Age of Wonders 4
 –

One of the best 4X EVER

Deep, with lots of attention to detail, characters, balance, and playability. Future updates are already planned that bring new races and playstyles.

Crusader Kings III: Friends & Foes
 –

More dlc

Not bad, but not earth-shattering, Friends & Foes is pretty pedestrian but does provide greater depth to dealing with NPCs in game.

Stellaris: Nemesis
 –

I like it

But I'm not so sure that all these bits of dlc for Stellaris are good for the game in the long run. Nemesis rewards players who engage in espionage.

Stellaris: Aquatics Species Pack
 –

Under the sea ...

Well, not quite, but any new pack for Stellaris is going to be fun to play. And the fish-people are no different. Eer-eel-y fantastic.

Crusader Kings III: Expansion Pass
 –

Arguable at full price

Lots to do in the base game already make the "Expansion" superfluous. At full price, at least.

Crusader Kings III: Northern Lords
 –

Minor dlc

Not essential, but worth getting on sale. Ultimately if you play CK3 you'll want it regardless.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Invasions
 –

Not essential ... but fun.

Like other AoW: Planetfall dlc packs this one is fun if you enjoyed the base game but grew tired of limited race options.

Stellaris: Lithoids Species Pack
 –

This pack Rocks.

Literally, this dlc rocks. It is rocks. You are rocks. If you love Stellaris and all the possible stories it generates, you need more rock in your life.

Imperator: Rome - Magna Graecia Content Pack
 –

Getting there ...

Not essential, but worth picking up for a few bucks.

by andregurov, United States - Mar 23rd 2021

Stellaris: Federations
 –

Not as essential as some

But still better than others. If you have sunk hundreds of hours into Stellaris this will be worth it. If you are new to Stellaris, wait.

Stellaris: Humanoids Species Pack
 –

Diversity

Is the spice of life. And the more the merrier ... well, you get the idea. More stuff for Stellaris is ALWAYS good. And this is.

Stellaris: MegaCorp
 –

MegaOkay

Changes some of the base game in unexciting business-like ways.

Crusader Kings III
 –

Essential

If you enjoy grand strategy games at all, this is a must-buy. It may not be the greatest, but it is certainly one of the most polished and accessible. Cannot wait to see it fleshed out and supported like CK2.

Total War™: ATTILA - The Last Roman Campaign Pack
 –

Okay

Not the best TW dlc, but good value at sale price.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall
 –

Great game

Subtle improvements over older Age of Wonders games, but full of personality some other 4X games don't have ... as well as the fun turn-based combat.

Stellaris: Apocalypse
 –

Planet killer

More Stellaris, just souped-up and on some serious steroids. Adds new possibilities to what is already the best Civ in Space game.

Hearts of Iron IV: Waking the Tiger
 –

The new Far East

Japan and China are biggest benefactors of this DLC, which is nice because China rarely gets much representation or respect in WWII games.

Hearts of Iron IV: Together for Victory
 –

Fleshing out

Not essential, but good to have if you plan on sinking a few hundred hours into Hoi4.

Wreckfest
 –

Took a long time to get here

But is more than worth it. Beautiful graphics, interesting races, and lots of user support/modding. Runs a bit rough on my Bootcamped system but Bugbear has continued to put work into improving it.

I am not a Monster: First Contact
 –

Great game but needs players

A very strange turn-based game filled with campy humor and a 50's sci-fi pastiche, but well worth playing. Each game develops differently and no two rounds are the same. For its quite affordable price there is much to enjoy here. Warning: it is not easy and there are no crutches for a lack of awareness and a solid plan. Only significant drawback (my warning was really just praise for the game!) is there can be a lack of available players except for certain times of the day. {I purchased this title through Steam directly, not the WinGameStore, but am submitting a review here to increase the game's visibility}
